An early build of Windows Blue, the next version of Windows, has been leaked on the web on the same day that Microsoft boss Steve Ballmer celebrated his birthday (57). Build 9364, a partner version that was originally compiled on 15 March, has been made available on popular file sharing networks and includes some of the new changes that Microsoft is building into Windows Blue and Windows Phone Blue. Leaked screenshots uploaded to various forums clearly demonstrate that Microsoft is bringing smaller tile arrangements and even a larger desktop one to the Windows Blue Start Screen, hand-in-hand with increased control over the color personalization options, and some other things.

Additional snap-views places apps side-by-side

With Windows Blue, Microsoft is building in additional Snap Views, allowing users to place apps side-by-side in the Windows Blue view. The new 50/50 view is somewhat the same as the desktop mode snapping, but Windows Blue will also support up to four different snapped apps alongside each other. A new alarm, sound recorder, movie moments, as well as a brand new calculator WIndows 8 -style apps will also take advantage of these new views, but developers are able to update their apps to support the Windows Blue Snap Views and other API changes that come new in Windows Blue. The snapping improvements also apply to multi-screen support, where you can now run individual Windows 8-style apps across multiple monitors.

Touch-friendly settings


Other improvements in Windows Blue include a number of new options in the current style settings screen. Microsoft seems to be adding all needed settings to ensure tablet users don't have to drop to the desktop Control Panel to change things. With Windows Blue, SkyDrive options are present, and seem to show an enhanced integration with auto camlue also comes with an app settings section with options to change default apps and information on app sizes.

Withe the Windows Blue update Microsoft is also making changes to its Charms. The Devices Charm includes a new play option, which looks similar to the existing PlayTo options found in Windows 8. On the Share Charm there's a new screenshot option that lets you quickly share an image with applications. Internet Explorer 11 is also included in Blue, although it's not immediately clear from the leaked screenshots what improvements have been made. A tab sync feature appears in some screenshots, suggesting that Microsoft is planning to make tabs available on additional Windows Blue devices.

Touch users can also use new gestures throughout Windows Blue. On the Start Screen you can swipe up from the bottom to bring up a list of all apps, and in the desktop mode you can swipe up or down to reveal a desktop app bar that provides access to snap, projector settings, and more. This is the Latest Rumors of Samsung Galaxy S IV

Attention of Gadget lovers right now will be point on next March 14th, 2013. Where one of the best smartphone, Galaxy S IV will be launched by a vendor who now occupy the number one position in the market, Samsung.

According to previous rumors, this smartphone is often mentioned would come with top class specifications. Apparently not stop there, based on the information that is still speculation, as reported SamMobile, Galaxy S IV is said will be packed with technology 'floating touch'. With this technology, users are allowed to access the screen simply by 'waving' their fingers on the link.

This technology is not the first present in smartphones, Sony even has used the same technology in its smartphone, the Xperia sola (as seen in the video below).

Instead of using the usual AMOLED screen, Samsung says it will use AMOLED screen that has a green and yellow material known as Green PHOLED display that is claimed to be 25% more efficient.

Well, besides the above rumors, it turns out there are other speculations of the Galaxy S IV. Flagship smartphone is rumored to be present in two versions, the first Galaxy S IV called will come with an LCD screen and uses Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset while the other 600 will use AMOLED screen and will embed Octa 5 Exynos processor made ??by Samsung itself.

Galaxy S IV will present using the Android operating system 4.2.1 at the time of its release. Nevertheless update to Android version 4.2.2 is also rumored to be rolled out in the same month with the launch of the device.

For those of you who (most probably) never even heard of the term "EdgeRank" before, here's a quick 101-guide on what Facebook's EdgeRank is, what it does and how it works. (especially interesting if you are an SMM (Social Media Marketing) or SEO professional.

What is EdgeRank?

EdgeRank is an ingeniously programmed algorithm invented and deployed by Facebook which allowd the social networking site to filter the News Feed for their over one billion users continually. It decides which exact new content is being displayed on the News Feed of Facebook users and what position a certain new feed gets. EdgeRank does this by comparing the authority, usefulness and popularity of people, pages, posts and pictures among many other variables.

EdgeRank "ranks Edges", looks at the particular connections it has with the particular user and then gives that "Edge" a certain ranking which is obviously mirroring the specific importance to the user. So, the most relevant and important stories, pictures and status updates will end up at the top while the lessser relevant / interesting "objects" will get a less lower place (or not a place at all).

The EdgeRank algorithm

EdgeRank uses a range of ingredients in its algorithm formula to calculate an Edge's importance to the user. The three most important ones are:

Affinity - A 1-way relationship between Facebook-user and Edge. So basically it looks at the interaction of the user and the authority posting the particular news item (likes, shares, comments, visits, chats, etc.). Is the authority a close relative or a fan-page? A friend with many other common friends or just a vague friendly connection?

Weight - A coprehensive "value-system" that increases or decreases the value of specific actions on the Facebook network. A comment for instance is seen as more valuable then a like so they get a higher value on EdgeRank's weighing-scale. Also, what kind of content is it? And how popular is it among other connections?

Time-decay - The longer an Edge is alive on the Facebook network, the higher is its time-decay. As fresh content is most important to users, time-decay as well is an important ingredient in the EdgeRank algorithm.
